Goat Man, Mouse man, Cat Man, Snake Man and now……………. Bat Man
Over a period of time I have returned a young goat to its owner, trapped and released a mouse, rescued a very small kitten, and a snake! See previous Blogs!
Another tale to tell.
The weather is going cooler, and windier, and so quite a few leaves get blown into the pool and they need taking out.
Recently saw a few – they will stay on the surface and then they will sink to the bottom – from a fruit tree.
So, I get the extended mesh net to scoop them out.
One ‘leaf’ was moving and on closer inspection it turned out to be a small bat!!
He was struggling with his swimming stroke – I can’t recommend the ‘BATterfly’ or indeed the ‘BATstroke’.
On the basis they only fly at night he may have been in the water for a good few hour’s!
Get him out of the water and into the sun. Then I put him in a small cardboard box so he can keep warm in the sunshine and not be bothered by the breeze.
20 minutes later he (or she) is off – another success!!

Lynx Watching – or not
I had watched a National Geographic Programme on the Iberian Lynx that live in Spain in one of two national parks. There has been a conservation programme to restore their numbers through a breeding programme and then releasing them into the wild.
