AFI Annual Conference 'Breaking the Mould'. 27-30 September 2009
A well attended show (over 300 delegates) in a wonderful setting. The first time this show has been held at the MCG (Melbourne Cricket Ground). The venue proved a very good choice with a wonderful open exhibition space overlooking the sports grounds and award winning catering to boot!

Our booth was well attended with both existing customers (great to see you all) and lots of potential new customers. We had not expected any great flood of new interest (given the recent downturn) but we were pleasantly surprised by stories of recovery and unexpected good business. As it turns out many companies that have been frugal in the good times are now looking to invest both in technology, acquisition and growth.

In addition to the AFI Melbourne exhibition we had also undertaken two mini-exhibitions in both Christchurch and Auckland (New Zealand). This was the first time we created our own exhibit and invited customers directly. The main reason for this was that some companies needed to review our software and services and could not make the AFI show in Melbourne, so we created a mini-exhibit just for them!

Overall our adventures ‘down under’ have been well rewarded and we all look forward to the AFI in Victoria next year. Competition between states is fierce for the best AFI exhibition and Victoria has got their work cut out!
